Proverbs 3:5 (TLB)

4-5 If you want favor with both God and man, and a reputation for good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself.

Isaiah 48

3I foretold the former things long ago,
my mouth announced them and I made them known;
then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
For I knew how stubborn you were;
your neck muscles were iron,
your forehead was bronze.
Therefore I told you these things long ago;
before they happened I announced them to you
so that you could not say,
‘My images brought them about;
my wooden image and metal god ordained them.’
You have heard these things; look at them all.
Will you not admit them?

“From now on I will tell you of new things,
of hidden things unknown to you.
They are created now, and not long ago;
you have not heard of them before today.
So you cannot say,
‘Yes, I knew of them.’
You have neither heard nor understood;
from of old your ears have not been open.
Well do I know how treacherous you are;
you were called a rebel from birth.
For my own name’s sake I delay my wrath;
for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you,
so as not to destroy you completely.
10 See, I have refined you, though not as silver;
I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
11 For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this.
How can I let myself be defamed?
I will not yield my glory to another.

What do I want to do with my life?

  1. My passions________________

Psalm 37:4 (VOICE)

Take great joy in the Eternal!

His gifts are coming, and they are all your heart desires!

Hosea 6:6
I’m after love that lasts, not more religion. I want you to know God, not go to more prayer meetings.

  1. My gifts ___________________

1 Peter 4:10New Living Translation (NLT)

10 God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 Message 4-11 God’s various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit. God’s various ministries are carried out everywhere; but they all originate in God’s Spirit. God’s various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people! The variety is wonderful:

wise counsel    – teaching words of wisdom

clear understanding – knowledge

simple trust  – faith

healing the sick  – healing

miraculous acts –  powerful signs and wonders

proclamation – prophecy

distinguishing between spirits – discernment

tongues – diverse languages

interpretation of tongues – interpretation

All these gifts have a common origin, but are handed out one by one by the one Spirit of God. He decides who gets what, and when.

  1. My experience _____________

Hebrews 5:12-13New International Reader’s Version (NIRV)

12 By this time you should be teachers. But in fact, you need someone to teach you all over again. You need even the simple truths of God’s word. You need milk, not solid food. 13 Anyone who lives on milk is still a baby. That person does not want to learn about living a godly life.

Romans 5:3-4 (NLT)

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
